Welcome. My Name is Roger Smith, I am of British nationality. I have a master’s degree in Chiropractic from the University of Surrey UK. After practicing in London for 3 years I opened my own practice in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2005. My passions are health and human development. I use chiropractic methods and personal development coaching to assist people in both domains.
Chiropractic is a natural health care discipline specializing mainly in the health of the spine and nervous system and its effect on the rest of the body and our general quality of life. Chiropractic techniques are done by hand to release tension from the body, realign the structure and take pressure off the nervous system. Chiropractic methods range from very gentle to more forceful depending on the type of chiropractor, the type of patient and therapeutic objectives.
Chiropractic is typically used for musculo-skeletal issues, but commonly helps many issues such as headaches, stress, digestive problems, menstrual pain, allergies, asthma, excessive tiredness, depression. People use chiropractic to recover their health, maintain good health and develop their health to above average levels
In Europe chiropractic education is available at universities in the UK, Denmark, France and Spain. A minimum of 4 years full time study plus 1 year in supervised practice is required to become a chiropractor. In most northern European countries chiropractic care is included in the national healthcare and health insurance systems. This is due to its high level of patient satisfaction and cost effectiveness in therapy.
